A memory module cannot be valued accurately from capacity alone. Two modules can both be 16 GB while belonging to completely different markets. One may be standard desktop DDR4, another may be DDR5 gaming RAM and another may be registered ECC server memory.

Useful identification details include memory generation, capacity, speed, form factor, ECC status, registered or unbuffered design, manufacturer, part number, number of modules and whether the modules belong to a matched kit.
